A true classic from my favorite vintage of the past 25 years. I shared a bottle a few weeks back with friends visiting and boy did it show off the Willamette Valley in all its glory. This wine, Elizabeth’s Reserve Pinot Noir, is sadly no longer made.
And..I was able to dig up a few for the shop cellar collection too!
Have you had a 2010 that you’ve really enjoyed recently??
When two winemakers team up, magic happens. The new vintage of a consistently excellent pinot noir from husband and wife team Anna Matzinger and Michael Davies just arrived and boy is it delicious! Have you met them yet? If not, I’ll sum them up: They have to be some of the most humble, joy-filled & of course talented folks I’ve ever met. You’ll taste that and more in their wines. Wishing you a very Happy Friday!!
Another thrilling new arrival from a spectacular vintage in the Piedmont. Arpepe, located in the far north corner of this region, farms impossibly steep terraced vineyards of old vine Nebbiolo. The aromas are explosive and incredibly elegant - showing the flashy side of the growing year and the charm that is a hallmark of this storied estate.
It’s officially countdown to #ipnc weekend! Such a fun week to be in the Willamette Valley meeting Pinot fans visiting from all corners of the country and beyond. If you’re in need of something fun to enjoy before, after or during the festivities (sometimes you gotta shake things up.. 😜) here are a few ideas.
