Coming off of a nearly 10 year stint as the right- hand to Mike Etzel at Beaux Freres, Grant left that post after nearly 9 years having risen to the title of winemaker. What an acheivment, and a wonderful affirmation of Grant’s dedication and talent. Grant is now director of Vinyards & Winemaker for Flaneur, a dynamic new brand based out of Carlton. Hundred Suns is his personal wine project that he started with his charming wife Renée in 2015. Come meet them and taste their inaugural wines! No charge to taste

You have to meet Bill Hooper, the owner/winemaker at Paetra wines! Really, one short conversation and sip & you’ll be hooked. He is one of the most engaging and enthusiastic people making wine in the Valley these days. He focuses on Riesling, a grape he learned to farm and make at the source of some of the world’s prestigious producers in Germany. I’ve also invited a local grilled sausage food cart to park out front to provide some tasting snacks.
Come out to meet the team behind Lingua Franca, a very exciting winery & vineyard project in the Eola-Amity Hills launching their inaugural wines early this year. And what a team! From Master Sommelier Larry Stone, to winemaker Thomas Savre (not to mention Dominique Lafon who’s consulting on the wines), these are very striking wines that are turning heads left and right; I was smitten at first sip. Taste what all the buzz is about.
We’re teaming up with our neighbor & friend Paul Bachand at Recipe, part deux for a Shell-ebration! It’s a day filled with briny oysters & crisp whites. Your entry fee puts a glass of wine in your hand (we’ll comb through hundreds of wines to find a handful just for this day!) along with your choice of one of Paul’s oyster creations – pristine on the half shell, warm off the grill or a fragrant stew inspired by his recent trip to the Azores. $25 for a great glass of wine and your choice of one of Paul’s oyster creations. We’ve all missed our friends at Recipe, a neighborhood kitchen & we can’t wait until they are back up and running. Join us as we team up with our neighbors for a fun night of burgers and Beaujolais! $25 per person, this will cover a burger and a glass of Beaujolais. (They will have some other snacks out too)

They’ll all be here to pour you their wines and tell you all the fun stories behind them!

Anna Matzinger (former winemaker for Archery Summit) and her husband, Michael Davies (winemaker for Rex Hill and A to Z) will be behind the bar pouring new releases and perhaps a treat from their cellar.
